Storms don’t last forever

Do you know storms are temporary and the sun will come out tomorrow?   If you’re going through anything right now, just know you’re not alone. And know that God is with you and sees what you’re going through. He will give you strength to make it and He will give you peace too.  Psalm 29:11   says,  "the Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace." That means even in the midst of a storm, there is no need to panic, the Lord gives you peace. He knows it’s a temporary situation that will make you stronger. He wants you to be stronger. And since the Lord is with you,  you will be able to function much better and have the victory. The Lord will see to that. So continue your way with the Lord and watch Him continue to direct your paths and make them straight. Storms don’t last forever. Stay calm. God says you’re going to make it through. (Psalm 29:11)

Running to God

Isn't it great when we can run to God? When He is there when everyone is busy?   When life is sometimes so consuming?   God is there no matter what. God is there in the midnight hour. "I run to you, God; I run for dear life" ( Psalm 31 :1).  Those were David's words, which I can identify. For, I do run to God. How about you? Do you run to Him too? I run to my Lord when I need Him. I run to Him when I think I got this. I run to to the Lord any and I need to. He is my comfort, my safety net, my landing place, my everything. Yes I run to Him. I need Him. What would my life be without Him? I hate to imagine. Where would I go? Who would I commune with? How would I function? Nobody else can take His place. He is my rock. My strong tower. My breath. I run to God.  "Love God, all you saints  [and others who want to draw near to Him] ; God takes care of all who stay close to him" ( Psalm 31:23).  And His love never runs out.

Better days are coming

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. Do you know you were born on purpose for a purpose? Oh yes and do you know because of that, better days are coming for you? God is aware of what He is still going to have you to do in this life. And He is aware that no weapon that is plotted, connived, schemed, or conspired against you, will ever harm you. He is aware that all you've gone through and all you may be going through, is a divine set-up to get you to the point where you will come out victorious with something to talk about. Yes and amen. You will have something to say and something to do. Your created life was done deliberately for you to encourage and uplift those who need you. So, God is going to use you and use you in a mighty way.  Better days are coming. They have to come, because God's magnificent plan over your life is filled with abundance. So, just in case you're down, lift your head up. Just in case you're down, raise your eyes t

Trusting God

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. What do you do during the "waiting" period? The waiting period is when God promises you something and it seems as though nothing is happening. You're grinding day in and day out. You're focused like never before. You're staying around all the positive things, people, and places. Yet it seems you're just going through the motions and no movement is happening. I'm here to tell you today, not to despair, not to grow weary, and not to give up. God is working behind the scenes and He's organizing the right circumstances for you right now. He's doing it right now as you're listening to this podcast and as I'm speaking these words to you. He's making sure we are ready for the ride though. That's why we have to wait. He's setting everything in motion for us and we want Him to do that.  We want to be ready. That way we will have staying power when things get a little cra

Heavy-weights for God

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. Are you a heavy-weight for God? If so, that means you are unqualified to do what you're doing. You know that? You know why? Because  1 Corinthians 1:27-29 says, "But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God." Power! So, there you have it. If you are doing the will of the Lord, then you are really unqualified to do everything you're doing and  will  do. And that's just fine, that's the way the Lord would have it, because when He calls those to do amazing things, He is with those He calls. That's how it goes -- He qualifies those He calls. So don't worry about the fact that you started low or you might even be lower than you want to be right now. The

Pursuing Jesus

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. Did you know Jesus was the most awesome man who walked the earth? That may be a bold statement to some, yet it’s true. When you think about the fact that He was honorable, perfect, kind, loving, righteous, and the list goes on, it really makes sense, doesn't it? So, it’s up to all of us to pursue the perfection and love of Jesus and to get all of the things He has for us in order to help others. That's the main reason we are here. Yes, did you know that? We are here to make the world a better place. So we have to seek after the Lord with all our hearts in the process, so He can help us make it so. Yes, we can change the world one person at a time. We just need to all do our part. We can never give up in doing our part to make things better, because people need to see Jesus, right? And they can see Him through the life we live and through all the things the Lord gives us to give them.  Proverbs 21 :21 says, whoev

Stay with your vision

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. Where there is no prophetic vision or revelation, people perish; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction ( Proverbs 29 :18).  Do you know what the difference is between successful people and unsuccessful people is? The difference is, successful or victorious people have some type of vision for themselves and unsuccessful people don't. That's it. Nothing deep.  Just think about it. Let's take the successful victorious person ok, who takes on a challenging difficult endeavor and has less of an outcome than he expected. To some he may have actually lost or failed. But, not so. In his mind he is still a winner. Yes, what some think was a misstep, he sees as another opportunity to get things right. He sees it as experience. He knows eventually things will line up for Him. He still pictures his vision and he never takes his eyes off of it. What some may have called a failure, he knows will mak

Creating new things

Do you need a change? Do you have things in your life that you need to move on from? Are those things people, places, things, emotions? Whatever they are, seek first God and godly counsel before any rash decisions. There was a time in my life when I moved too fast on certain things and they ended up costing me. However, if the Lord is saying you need that change — that move — than perhaps now may be your time. Since  2 Corinthians 5 :17  says that if anyone is in Christ, he or she is a new creation, then that means we may have some old things we need to get rid of, right?  Perhaps they are in our way, because they were supposed to be long gone at this point. If we are asking ourselves why we are still in a certain place, dealing with certain things, putting up with certain people, what good purpose they serve, or even why we continue feeling a certain unnecessary emotion, then we may have some deleting to do. And it's ok, because seasons change and this may be a good time to

You can get through anything

Do you know you can get through anything? You may be asking yourself, how? Well, remember, Jesus is still Lord and  Proverbs 3 :5 says, when we trust in Him with all our heart, and not rely on our own understanding, He will bring us through anything. When we do that, we will be strong with anything that comes our way, because our strength comes from the Lord. And we will be strong enough to conquer the obstacles that will surely come. It’s true. What have you been through? Whatever it is, guess what? None of your challenges have been for not. They are to make you stronger. I know from experience that you will get through every struggle, challenge, obstacle, or anything else. And you will come out stronger and better. God is the one and only God of any and everything. Don't think He won't bring you through. If He brought me through my darkness, He will do it for you. We just have to believe Him, listen to Him, read and trust His word (it's paramount that his word is in

You're going to make it

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. Yes I believe you’re going to make it and I believe you’re going to do what it is the Lord wants you to do. Yes, I’m putting that into the atmosphere, because words are powerful, right? Do you know there is no need to despise humble beginnings? No, because when we seek wisdom and continue to follow the Lord, guess what?  Matthew 20 :16 says, the last will be first, and the first will be last. That's just the way it's going to happen. Your time is coming and you're going to make it. Do you believe that? I hope you believe that. I know I believe that for myself. There was a time when I didn't and today I do. And that's it. As you know, I continuously speak over my life in this podcast and in my devotional, because we have to put positive in the atmosphere. We have to speak what the Lord says about us. We have to believe it, speak it, and act it out. So really, there is no need that worry about who

You've got the power

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. Do you believe what  Isaiah  43:2 says about you? Yes, that verse applies to you. It sure does. It says, "...when you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." As that verse says,  when you walk through the fire. That means fire will come, yet guess what? You will not be singed, you will not be hurt, and you will not be touched. You know why? Because the Lord will be with you and you will be empowered through Him -- that's right, through Him -- Jesus Christ, to do what you were born to do -- walk with power. Yes, you've got the power honey. Isn't that fantastic? Isn't that awesome? It is indeed. And what I'm saying to you today, is to use disappointments as fuel to enable you to accomplish those things you've always dreamed about. Let that fire enable you to become stronger and to know that you can and will get through anything, because God i

Saved by grace

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. Isn’t it great to be covered by God’s grace? We all make mistakes, right? We all fall short. The only perfect one is Christ, so, we have to stop that thinking that we can't make mistakes, that we’re perfect, that we are unforgivable, and that we can't we mess up. Listen, we have to stop being so hard on ourselves, especially when God isn't hard on us. I know how it is to live in regret over mistakes and bad decisions. So, I'm coming to you to tell you, just don't go there. I wasted so many years going there -- being there -- not moving in certain areas of my life, because I beat myself up about certain things. Don’t waste a minute of that. Ok? We have to move on and we have to move up. So, I've come to tell you, for years I did that and for years I've been out of that. So, I'm not going back, because God knows we’re human and He’s already forgiven us for what we did or didn't do. He’s

God has not rejected you

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. Isn't it easy to sometimes think that if things don't work out for us, that God has rejected us? Isn't easy to feel like if man has turned his back on us, God is ok with it? From time to time I'm sure many of us have thought that way, but guess what? The devil is a liar. God has not rejected you, so no matter what has stopped flowing, no matter who has closed the door, no matter where things didn't work out, and no matter the opportunities that were lost, the Lord has not rejected you. He loves you too much to cast you aside and He knows you still love Him. So continue living for Him and watch what He does to redeem those He loves and who still walk according to His purpose. He has not rejected you, He has accepted you. Yes,  Psalm 94 :14/15  says, "For the LORD will not forsake His people; He will never abandon His heritage, for justice will return to the righteous, and all the upright in heart

Believe

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" ( Mark 11 :24). Do you know God will enable us to do great feats and accomplish amazing things? When we do that, we will have no choice but to know it was Him. Do you believe it? When we believe God has more for our lives, we will receive all He has for us. That's the bottom line, so we have to start asking and praying for what it is we want and we need to make it happen. Yes, do you know the Lord gives you the power to get all the blessings He has for you? Yes, He really does. It's about believing. It's about faith. But, some people have it and some people don't. Yet, it's the difference between victory and defeat. God gives us the ability to choose. What is it for you?  This is it, God gives us the ability to do things naturally and He comes in and does the supernatural. But w

Strength that moves mountains

Do you know you can get strength from the Lord? Yes, He will equip you. Do you need Him today for strength? Is there anything in particular you need to get through right now? If there is a mountain ahead of you, guess what? The Lord will give you the strength to move it right out of your way. Do you believe it? Do you have faith that He will do it? In  Matthew 21 :21, "if you embrace this kingdom life and don’t doubt God, you’ll not only do minor feats like I did to the fig tree, but also triumph over huge obstacles. This mountain, for instance, you’ll tell, ‘Go jump in the lake,’ and it will jump. Absolutely everything, ranging from small to large, as you make it a part of your believing prayer, gets included as you lay hold of God.” Clearly, God will give you the strength that moves mountains. Pray for strength if that is what you are in need of today and God will come through for you if you believe He will . He is a rewarder of those who diligently and earnestly seek Him

Wait on God

"But me, I’m not giving up. I’m sticking around to see what God will do. I’m waiting for God to make things right. I’m counting on God to listen to me" ( Micah 7 :7).  Wait on God and don't do what I used to. Don't rush Him. Be yielded to His spirit. I want to encourage you in this area, because there was a time when I used to make rash and quick decisions instead of waiting on what the Lord had to say about it. Mind you, I'm not necessarily talking about God's audible voice that comes telling me what to do (although that has happened). I'm talking about praying and thinking on a certain situation and having clarity about what to do and how to proceed. God will give you a peace that surpasses all understanding when you wait on Him. When that happens, it's another way God has spoken. For, He speaks in so many ways. When we wait on God, we practice gaining wisdom and we get used to doing things that give us more leverage and staying power. We

You got this

Do you know carrying out the mission and assignment the Lord has for us, is like flying an airplane? Yes, because it takes precision, focus, and strength. And we can do it, because that’s what God birthed in us to do. There are many reasons why pilots have to be physically fit (as well as, emotionally and mentally fit). It's a demanding job. Finishing goals and carrying out our God-ordained life’s purpose is demanding. It's not for the give-up-easy people. Starting, continuing, and finishing something isn't for the person who wants quick results. It's for the person who is the most fit to survive to the end -- to stay with the mission until mission-accomplished. Nothing worthwhile comes easy, but God will give us everything we need to fulfill our assignment.  2 Corinthians 8 :11 says,  "Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means."  You got this.

Abundant food

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” ( Ephesians 3 :20).   Do you know God has abundance for your life? Yes, He does, but there’s some work that comes with it though. It’s about doing more in order to get more. It’s about sowing and reaping.  There is a simple rule of life. You want to know what it is? The people who  do   more, get more. Have you ever noticed that? Think about it. Usually when people do extra, the outcome for success increases dramatically, because sooner or later they're going to strike something -- they're going to hit something. For instance, the person who studies more, usually has better grades, right? And the person who eats  clean, is usually healthier, correct? And the person who is nicer and more respectful, usually gets more help from people, am I right about it? Consequently, the person who pr

Continue to hope in the Lord

Most of us have heard about the palm tree, right? Did you know those trees bend, but they don't break? They have the amazing capacity to weather storms and are able to stand again after such a rough go at it. Their root system is wide and firm. Isn't that amazing? The palm tree is one of the most fascinating trees I've ever heard of. It's fascinating for many reasons, namely, its resiliency. Its bounce back. Its ability to literally weather the storms and come back stronger than ever. Do you know anybody like that? Could that somebody be you? Are you like the the palm tree that doesn't fall down...well not completely.  Another awesome thing about the Lord is that He gives us the ability to withstand the mighty storms of life. For those who may still be struggling in this area, take heart, the Lord is there and He wants to give strength to all of His people.   Isaiah 40 :31  says,  "those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on w

Looks towards heaven

It's great to be able to look up towards heaven when it seems the chips are down, isn’t it? It’s great to be able to look up towards heaven when you know God’s got your back, right? When it seems like there's a lot coming at you, you know there’s a God you can count on. When it seems you made one step forward and two back, you know there’s God waiting to catapult you into a new dimension. Yes, we can look towards heaven, because God is there. He sits on high so we need not ever look low, ever. Jesus was only in the grave for 3 days remember? See  John 2 :18-22.  So don't look low, because He can't be found there. Look high towards heaven and cast your cares only on the Lord. He cares for you  ( 1 Peter 5 :7).  That's enough to rejoice and be glad about. And our faith will make it so that God will position us to take five steps forward with no steps backwards. That's what looking towards the sky, towards heaven, does for us.

Stay faithful, God is present

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. Do you know God sees you and He hasn’t forgotten about you? It’s true. Have you ever heard, the teacher is always quiet during the test? Well, guess what? God might be silent right now, but He knows what He’s going to do and He’s waiting for the right time to move. His timing is impeccable. So stay faithful, God is present.  Romans 8 :28 says, "and we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." God is sometimes quiet when we're going through the challenging times of life -- those times in life that test us to see what we're about. He knows our purpose and He knows who He's called for what. Will we trust God or give up what He has for us? Are we going to stand strong and come out on the other side or are we going to throw in the towel? Which way will we have it? We have to trust and believe God will do what

God’s word is true

"Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him" ( Proverbs 30 :5).  Do you believe that? Do you believe that God's word is true and never comes back void or empty? God is real and His word is sharper than any two edged sword  ( Hebrews 4 :12).  It has mighty power and to know it is to know the secrets that unlock greatness and high esteem. And  "nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account" (Hebrews 4:13).  So we can trust God and His holy word. It's awesome to be able to believe in something and someone who will always be there for us. I wish that for everyone, but it won't happen, because some people just won't see God and believe in Him, much less His word. That saddens me a little, but the show must go on. I know for myself and we who believe, have to tell others that God's word is a perfect word and that i

God did it

Yes, God did it again. He made a way when I didn't know what would happen. We can never doubt Him, because He's the God of all-things-are-possible-for-those-who-believe. That's why He's God all by himself. So, just in case you may be thinking, God won't make a way out of no way, think again. He can and will open the flood gates for what it is you want in your life. And He will part the Red Sea for you too. Oh yes He will. I remember a time when my nights were long and depressing and I felt alone, but God moved in my life and I'm stronger, faster, and better today. If you are in that place right now, know this: God is awesome and God will do it for you. Yes, He will make a way out of that dark place for you. Don't you give up your faith. Utter some words to Him right now to let Him know you hear Him, you feel Him, and you sense Him. Then His power will come where you are and you will too, become stronger, faster, and better.   What I'm saying i

Walk in your truth

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. Do you know God accepts you for you ? I'm not saying He created you or I to live any way we choose. No, I mean God made each of us to walk in His ways -- His light. And when we do that, we are acceptable and pleasing to Him. So we have to choose wisely. He created us to be true to His creation, which was made new in us when we decided to give our lives to Him through salvation.  So, do you know your walk with Him isn't in vain, but it means something and God sees you? 2 Corinthians 5  talks about reconciliation, which is another way of saying God restored us to Him when He died on the cross for us. Yes, He restored us. Isn't that awesome? It's awesome on many levels. One being, that since we were reconciled by God, we are now covered by His amazing grace and we can tell others about it. Yes.  2 Corinthians 5:17-20 says, " Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has g

You are beautiful

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. "I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well"  ( Psalm 139 :14). You know what that means? That means that you are beautiful. Yes, some synonyms for beautiful are wonderful, pleasing, marvelous, splendid, graceful, gorgeous, and exquisite. How awesome is that? It's awesome. Look at how majestic the Lord is, having made someone like you. So, don't let anybody convince you that you are not beautiful and that you are not wonderful in the eyes of the Lord, because you are. And if He sees you that way, then that's the ultimate in acceptance, so why would anybody think that is irrelevant? We must see ourselves how God sees us and when we do that we are unstoppable and unbreakable in doing any of the things He called us to do. When we see ourselves the way God sees us, what anybody tries to do or say against us, has no ounce of power. None .
