You're Wonderful Just the Way God Made You

Why do you think some of us let others affect us to the point where it changes who we are?

Look, it's not worth being somebody other than yourself, ok? God made one you, so there is no need comparing. Usually when we do that we're going to come up short and get all depressed for no reason or come up tall and get the big puffed up head. Either way they're both false. Just be the person God created and work from there. I can guarantee you that if we continue working on the person He created we will fare much better than being somebody we can never measure up to. When we do the hard work of becoming our best and authentic selves then we can look in the mirror and love what we see. Will it take work to be better? Of course, but anything of value will take that.

So be yourself and don't let anybody change you. God created you just the way you are and with Him you will become better and better. Just say this over and over if needed: "I praise you [Lord] because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well (Psalm 139:14).
