Reinventions

You know why many companies can't keep up with companies like WalMart and Google?

It's an easy answer.

WalMart and Google keep reinventing themselves. Just about anything you want to buy or want done, you can do it at Walmart. I keep asking myself what they will have next. A clinic? A dentist? I wouldn't be surprised. They can have anything they want. Same thing with Google. Every time I turn around there's another awesome product or service Google has, like Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Google Sites, Google Blogger, Google Forms, YouTube (yes Google bought YouTube), and much more. Don't believe it? Just Google it. And if that isn't enough, during American Idol I heard Ryan Seacrest tell the audience they could vote via Google. Huh? Google? Geez. I asked myself how does anyone vote via Google? I can't keep up, I didn't even know anyone could do that. Did you?

Amazing.
Movement

As long as those companies continue to be the forward thinkers they are, they will be the industry leaders. They will prosper and be around for a long time. They think good enough is never good enough. To them, changing with the times would render them behind the times. Thus, their business acumen operates beyond the times. That keeps them a few steps ahead of the competition. They don't settle for today. They persist past tomorrow. They are continuously on the next big thing and they give their customers what their customers didn't even know they wanted. Timeless innovation and cutting edge development solidifies their positions as the gold mines of transformation and revolution.

Relate that to human-development and it's the same concept with people who think like a Walmart or a Google. Global thinkers. Past-the Moon thinkers. Godly thinkers.

The people with the Walmart/Google model are the ones with staying power and leverage. They know what people want and they go to the people to give it to them. God loves that philosophy. Jesus knew the people1 and He knew what the people needed2. Once the people got a glimpse of what He had to offer, they came willingly. He told them to cast their nets and go make fishers of men3. Like Walmart and Google, innovative people don't wait for things to happen, the make things happen. Waiting is a waste of quality and productive time to them. That's why they go to customers and ultimately customers come flocking to them. They love what they have to offer.

Progressive people don't waste a minute being idle -- they hate standing still.

They like movement.

Forward momentum. Futuristic motion. They are transformative people who don't live in the past. They don't complain about what was and what wasn't. They don't feel sorry for themselves. To do so would enable the competition, the enemy, to stop them. And since the competition and the enemy have no compassion, they will swoop in to kill, steal, and destroy.

Staying on the A-game is a must. And talking about it is not enough. Talk is cheap and will keep progress on the sidelines. If we want to continue to grow and develop, walking it out is critical and evolution is paramount. That's how the pros do it.

Study them.

Learn from them.

Then we will witness new creations. That's part of the process of what God wants for us. Longevity. Durability. Endurance. Strength. Resilience. A formula that will position us where Walmart and Google are: on the top.

Protecting My Peace - Day 98 - Momentum and Movement, That’s What's Up

Click to listen to current podcast episode. “Never Giving Up” are power-words — strong affirmations that give us momentum and movement. That’s what’s up. We can do so much more in our lives when we have momentum and movement. It’s about standing, literally and not sitting or laying around feeling sorry for ourselves. I used to do that once upon a time and that sorrowful thinking is for the birds. We don’t have to be down. We can get up and get going even if we start small. In fact, I love starting small, because it helps set a firm foundation of habits and routines. Momentum and movement will help us get and maintain a position of strength to do what God says we can do. God blesses whomever he wants to bless, whenever he wants to bless them

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. When I was going through a dark time -- when I had nothing -- there was a certain person who helped me sometimes. She helped me whenever she basically felt like it, but she did help, and for that I'm appreciative. But, something interesting happened after I started growing out of my despair. Something interesting started happening when I no longer needed her for anything. And something interesting happened even though I remained kind and grateful towards. The interesting thing that happened was that she started hating on me. She started treating me differently. At first I was really bothered by it, because I thought she and her husband were nice people I wanted in my life. I liked that they had a sense of compassion and were interested in helping people who were down and low. That really appealed to me, because I was raised that way; my mother was raised that way; her mother was raised that way, and it goes back to as fa

Protecting My Peace - Day 96 - Disciplining Ourselves for Next Level Greatness

Click to listen to today's podcast episode. When it comes to next level greatness, we have to know that applies to us, not just everyone else. Do you know what God has for you? Do you? He has GREATNESS for you. Yes, YOU -- all of us. It's about doing what you can do and only you can do. You are the only one with your DNA -- none of us. is the same Yet, even when we're feeling down, discouraged, and out, those emotions are only temporary. None of us has it all together. Sometimes I procrastinate and put things off when I know I should be doing better. Yet, I am not as diligent and disciplined as I can be sometimes. Like when it comes to working out, I delay it, because I don't like it anymore. And although I love reading the bible, I haven't been reading it as often as I should lately. Yes, I, Sharon, the Faith Coach, do not do the things I'm supposed to do when I'm supposed to do them. And that my dear friends should not come as a shock to no one. It certa
