The cross

Isn't it great that there is a man who took the suffering we could face, had He not died on the  cross for us? Isn't it great that we can say, Abba Father to the greatest man who ever walked the earth? The cross that Jesus died on symbolizes so much for us. It symbolizes so many things, namely love and sacrifice. Yes, Jesus died so we wouldn't have to when we sin and fall short. Isn't that absolutely wonderful? The cross that Jesus hung on, was for all of us. He loved us that much. He still does and always will. He is love. I love that and I love Him. He is the real deal and His spirit is alive and will live for eternity.

"In Christianity, the cross is the intersection of God’s love and His justice. Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29)" (gotquestions.org). So, be encouraged in the Lord, for His mercy endures forever. "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures forever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords: His love endures forever" (Psalm 136:1-3). His dying on the cross is proof of that.

God blesses whomever he wants to bless, whenever he wants to bless them

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. When I was going through a dark time -- when I had nothing -- there was a certain person who helped me sometimes. She helped me whenever she basically felt like it, but she did help, and for that I'm appreciative. But, something interesting happened after I started growing out of my despair. Something interesting started happening when I no longer needed her for anything. And something interesting happened even though I remained kind and grateful towards. The interesting thing that happened was that she started hating on me. She started treating me differently. At first I was really bothered by it, because I thought she and her husband were nice people I wanted in my life. I liked that they had a sense of compassion and were interested in helping people who were down and low. That really appealed to me, because I was raised that way; my mother was raised that way; her mother was raised that way, and it goes back to as fa

Protecting My Peace - Day 98 - Momentum and Movement, That’s What's Up

Click to listen to current podcast episode. “Never Giving Up” are power-words — strong affirmations that give us momentum and movement. That’s what’s up. We can do so much more in our lives when we have momentum and movement. It’s about standing, literally and not sitting or laying around feeling sorry for ourselves. I used to do that once upon a time and that sorrowful thinking is for the birds. We don’t have to be down. We can get up and get going even if we start small. In fact, I love starting small, because it helps set a firm foundation of habits and routines. Momentum and movement will help us get and maintain a position of strength to do what God says we can do. Speak things as if they were

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. Do you know you have the power to speak things into existence? Do you know you have the power to change your atmosphere? Oh yes, so speak life to your life and know that the Lord's Word never comes back void. It is always alive and active. It's never too late to start speaking over your life. In   Mark 11 :24 Jesus says, "therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours"  and   Proverbs 23 :7 says, "for as a man thinks in his heart, so is he."  Those verses are proof that when something lives in our heart, all we have to do is open our mouths and speak those things as if we already had them. It's amazing how much power we really have, but we throw it away, because of our lack of faith. I've done that for years and let me tell you, it's not happening anymore. I'm not giving no thing, no one, and no place another inch of m
