Listen intently

"Early in the morning they left for the Desert of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood and said, "Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the LORD your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will be successful" (2 Chronicles 20:20). That's what King Jehoshaphat told his people when there were 3 armies coming against them. They trusted God's prophets and they won the battle without lifting a finger. Won't God do it? You betcha. Yes, the Lord sends people to encourage us (also warn us) and when we listen to the wise people He sends us, we know we're going to be alright. We know we're going to win. Whoever is speaking wisdom in your life, keep them close. We have to listen to wisdom. I'm not talking about the people who say they hear from God, but live like the devil. It's hard to receive from them. I'm talking about the people the Lord sends to bring the good news in order for us to proceed safely and securely. Listen wisely and listen intently to what thus says the Lord.
