God's awesome assurance

Isn't it great to never hunger or thirst? That's the awesome assurance we get from God -- the  awesome guarantee that Jesus tells us in John 6:35 when He declares, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."

We can walk in assurance and confidence that with Jesus, we will never go wrong. It doesn't mean we will live a sinless perfect life. It means our life will always be one of protection and coverage in all the things of God, because as fast as we can ask, He's already forgiven us.

Never being hungry or thirsty means having an endless supply of grace, favor, and mercy at our fingertips, simply because we are God's off-spring and He can shower us with any of those things whenever He so chooses. No, we can't take those things for granted, but we can be blessed with His goodness even though we don't come anywhere close to deserving it. Thankfully though, we can call Him, "Father".

Yes, God activates His blessings as we continue to trust in Him. And although we don't always know when He will act, He will remember what He said in John 6:35. Getting our daily bread -- our daily dose of the Lord, is something we sometimes overlook, but He's there regardless. He loves us that much and He gives us that awesome assurance constantly.

God blesses whomever he wants to bless, whenever he wants to bless them

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. When I was going through a dark time -- when I had nothing -- there was a certain person who helped me sometimes. She helped me whenever she basically felt like it, but she did help, and for that I'm appreciative. But, something interesting happened after I started growing out of my despair. Something interesting started happening when I no longer needed her for anything. And something interesting happened even though I remained kind and grateful towards. The interesting thing that happened was that she started hating on me. She started treating me differently. At first I was really bothered by it, because I thought she and her husband were nice people I wanted in my life. I liked that they had a sense of compassion and were interested in helping people who were down and low. That really appealed to me, because I was raised that way; my mother was raised that way; her mother was raised that way, and it goes back to as fa

Protecting My Peace - Day 98 - Momentum and Movement, That’s What's Up

Click to listen to current podcast episode. “Never Giving Up” are power-words — strong affirmations that give us momentum and movement. That’s what’s up. We can do so much more in our lives when we have momentum and movement. It’s about standing, literally and not sitting or laying around feeling sorry for ourselves. I used to do that once upon a time and that sorrowful thinking is for the birds. We don’t have to be down. We can get up and get going even if we start small. In fact, I love starting small, because it helps set a firm foundation of habits and routines. Momentum and movement will help us get and maintain a position of strength to do what God says we can do. Eagles fly above the storm

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with Blog Post. Are you an eagle? Do you know, eagles fly above the storm and they wait for the winds to carry them to greater heights?  That's right, as the storm is raging below, they are soaring above it all. They don't escape the storm, mind you. They simply use the storm to lift themselves to higher magnitudes. It's a though they know the storm is temporary; that they will indeed rise above it; and that they are riding the storm. I find all of that fascinating, because we can take the model of the eagle and do the same. Why can't we? We can imitate the eagles intelligence, push-through, and perseverance to weather any storm -- the storms of life that will come. If we will just know that God will never give us more than we can handle, then we will come out victorious.  As you going through anything today? Are you worried about anything in particular? Just know, you can rise above it all. Nothing is too big for G
