Put positive into the atmosphere

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post below.

Has anyone ever told you, your words have power? If not, I'm coming to tell you to start believing that they in fact do.

Proverbs 18:21 says, "death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits." So, I hope you are being careful about how you speak over your life and are careful of what you entertain regarding what others say to you. I take positive self-talk seriously especially at this point in my life. I've been through enough ups and downs, that I have made a conscious choice to trust what God has to say over my life more than what any man has to say. And I do, not under any circumstances, let nonsense in. How about you? Are you at that place in your life? If not, there is still hope. There is still hope for all of us to get what God has for us. Just remember, it starts with thinking positive, speaking positive, and acting positive. Accept nothing less than that. I'm not talking pie in the sky, I'm talking about what has worked in my life for quite some time.

So yes, speak positive over your life by putting positive words in the atmosphere. And stay in tune with what Isaiah 55:11 says, which is, "my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it." That's right.

God blesses whomever he wants to bless, whenever he wants to bless them

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. When I was going through a dark time -- when I had nothing -- there was a certain person who helped me sometimes. She helped me whenever she basically felt like it, but she did help, and for that I'm appreciative. But, something interesting happened after I started growing out of my despair. Something interesting started happening when I no longer needed her for anything. And something interesting happened even though I remained kind and grateful towards. The interesting thing that happened was that she started hating on me. She started treating me differently. At first I was really bothered by it, because I thought she and her husband were nice people I wanted in my life. I liked that they had a sense of compassion and were interested in helping people who were down and low. That really appealed to me, because I was raised that way; my mother was raised that way; her mother was raised that way, and it goes back to as fa

Protecting My Peace - Day 98 - Momentum and Movement, That’s What's Up

Click to listen to current podcast episode. “Never Giving Up” are power-words — strong affirmations that give us momentum and movement. That’s what’s up. We can do so much more in our lives when we have momentum and movement. It’s about standing, literally and not sitting or laying around feeling sorry for ourselves. I used to do that once upon a time and that sorrowful thinking is for the birds. We don’t have to be down. We can get up and get going even if we start small. In fact, I love starting small, because it helps set a firm foundation of habits and routines. Momentum and movement will help us get and maintain a position of strength to do what God says we can do. Speak things as if they were

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. Do you know you have the power to speak things into existence? Do you know you have the power to change your atmosphere? Oh yes, so speak life to your life and know that the Lord's Word never comes back void. It is always alive and active. It's never too late to start speaking over your life. In   Mark 11 :24 Jesus says, "therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours"  and   Proverbs 23 :7 says, "for as a man thinks in his heart, so is he."  Those verses are proof that when something lives in our heart, all we have to do is open our mouths and speak those things as if we already had them. It's amazing how much power we really have, but we throw it away, because of our lack of faith. I've done that for years and let me tell you, it's not happening anymore. I'm not giving no thing, no one, and no place another inch of m
