God's Plan

Genesis 1:27 says, "So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." None of us are a mistake or an accident. God planned us and God wanted us. That's all that matters. Do we mess up sometimes? Of course, but God never messes up. He never has an accident. He never creates accidents. He has a plan for every one of our lives. We are all valuable in His eyes.

So, we can’t sleep on God, we can’t box Him in. He can make something happen in or through anyone. He's God all by himself. We will be disappointed if we limit Him. We must believe that we are here for a reason. We are not just sucking air out of the atmosphere. And nothing just happens. God works masterfully. He's organized perfection. I'm writing these words for a specific reason. You're reading them for a specific reason. That's all I know. What happens from here on out is still beyond our control regarding how God will use you and I. He is the smooth operator who will give us our cues to what comes next.

We must listen for our next move — our orders — the next task in His master plan for us. We are great just how we are, because we were created through greatness Accept yourself, because God doesn't make junk. That's impossible. And God didn't create any accidents. That's also impossible. It's as simple as that. No need to make it complicated, right? God created masterpieces to carry out His plan and that's exactly what will happen. It’s all about God’s plan.

I feel free

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. How are you feeling today? What kind of head space have you been in lately? I ask, because I'm just wondering if anybody feels like me -- free like me. Free as an eagle. Free as can be. That's right, out with doing business the old stale way and in with a fresh new operation. It's a shifting happening in the atmosphere of Sharon's life and I'm moving on to the big and awesome things God has for me. What  do you say for yourself? What are you speaking over your life? What it is for you?  For me, I am no longer afraid to go out in the deep end. I am no longer afraid to fly higher, I am no longer concerned about what I have or do not have, and I am no longer concerned about what anybody thinks or says. Who the heck cares anymore? I don't. Because God tells me he doesn't give me a spirit of fear or timidity ( 2 Timothy 1 :7) , but He gives me a spirit of love, confidence, power, self-control, and

Encourage yourself in God

Do you know that no matter what you may be going through, you can encourage yourself in the Lord? And the Lord will give you the strength and power you need in order to get through? Yes, He will do it. He did it for David when David probably found it difficult to understand how he would endure. But, guess what? God was with him and God blessed him too. There are so many things I love about David. One of those things is that he encouraged himself in the Lord beyond the challenging circumstances he found himself in ( 1 Samuel 30 :6). When it seemed all was lost, David didn't give up. When everyone turned their backs on him, he stayed with his vision. When his family and community were taken, he went forth with what God told him to do. David never left the Lord in spite of his circumstances. I love that he did the opposite of what some of us would do, he stayed with God, he didn't run away from God. And he didn't try to take matters into his own hands. He ran towards th

Jesus gives mercy

"Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means “son of Timaeus”), was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.” Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus. “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road." Isn't that another great testimony about God's mercy? That story comes from  Mark 10:46-52  and it's encouraging for a number of reasons. Namely, that Jesus had mer
