Faith matters

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post.

You know what another great thing I love about God is? His amazing grace gives us amazing faith, doesn't it? Just when we think we can't get through another challenging situation, the Lord will give us another round of His grace to get us over that hurdle, yet again. He will give us second winds that come often, which will be so awesome we can't help but be amazed at His awesomeness. Yes, God will enable us to do great feats and accomplish amazing things, that we have no choice but to know it was Him. Then will will walk in a godly confidence, because faith matters. Matthew 21:18-22 says:
"Early in the morning, as Jesus was on his way back to the city, he was hungry. Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered. When the disciples saw this, they were amazed. "How did the fig tree wither so quickly?” they asked. Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done."
When we have faith, the results are visible. We don't want to be like the fig tree that was supposed to produce figs, but didn't. We want to blessed to be a blessing, right? And it doesn't matter what is in front of us or even behind us, we are covered by the blood of Jesus. What are you trying to get over today? Do you have any hurdles that are too high for you? No worries, just keep the faith going and continue striving towards the prize. God gives us the ability to do things naturally and He comes in and does the supernatural. So, you will get what God has for you. That's how He operates -- through our faith. We have to trust Him no matter how long it takes, because faith matters. "Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord" (2 Peter 1:2)

Protecting My Peace - Day 98 - Momentum and Movement, That’s What's Up

Click to listen to current podcast episode. “Never Giving Up” are power-words — strong affirmations that give us momentum and movement. That’s what’s up. We can do so much more in our lives when we have momentum and movement. It’s about standing, literally and not sitting or laying around feeling sorry for ourselves. I used to do that once upon a time and that sorrowful thinking is for the birds. We don’t have to be down. We can get up and get going even if we start small. In fact, I love starting small, because it helps set a firm foundation of habits and routines. Momentum and movement will help us get and maintain a position of strength to do what God says we can do. Protecting My Peace - Day 96 - Disciplining Ourselves for Next Level Greatness

Click to listen to today's podcast episode. When it comes to next level greatness, we have to know that applies to us, not just everyone else. Do you know what God has for you? Do you? He has GREATNESS for you. Yes, YOU -- all of us. It's about doing what you can do and only you can do. You are the only one with your DNA -- none of us. is the same Yet, even when we're feeling down, discouraged, and out, those emotions are only temporary. None of us has it all together. Sometimes I procrastinate and put things off when I know I should be doing better. Yet, I am not as diligent and disciplined as I can be sometimes. Like when it comes to working out, I delay it, because I don't like it anymore. And although I love reading the bible, I haven't been reading it as often as I should lately. Yes, I, Sharon, the Faith Coach, do not do the things I'm supposed to do when I'm supposed to do them. And that my dear friends should not come as a shock to no one. It certa...

Protecting My Peace - Day 95 - We Have to Stop Giving Away Our Power

Click to listen to today's podcast episode. Are you giving away your power? Are you letting people take control over our lives? If so, it’s time to stop operating like that. If we’re letting anyone influence us to the point that it’s causing us emotional pain or taking our peace, we have to move away from such people. It doesn’t matter if it’s in a personal or professional environment. Stay positive and productive in the process though, because dealing with challenges are part of the life process. Nevertheless, we can “fight” for our right for peace and respect. We just fight smart and continue to know who we are, especially who we are in Christ Jesus.
