Wait for the Lord

I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord" (Psalm 27:13/14). You know what's up, right? That's a clear scripture of David when he was going through alot with the people who were coming for him. The people who were out to get him. Look who he ran to though, God.

I just love a person who runs to God when they have issues, circumstances, and setbacks. Maybe I have much respect and admiration for them, because there was a time when I didn't run to Him first. I ran everywhere else. Now I know where I went wrong and I'm here to encourage you that God is there for you. He is a refuge and a safe place for you just as He was for David in Psalm 46:1. So when things get tough and unfortunately they will, let Him be the first you go to for safety. He will not let you down. He's God and He knows what He's doing, so be strong and wait for Him. He'll come through for you.

Eagles fly above the storm

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with Blog Post. Are you an eagle? Do you know, eagles fly above the storm and they wait for the winds to carry them to greater heights?  That's right, as the storm is raging below, they are soaring above it all. They don't escape the storm, mind you. They simply use the storm to lift themselves to higher magnitudes. It's a though they know the storm is temporary; that they will indeed rise above it; and that they are riding the storm. I find all of that fascinating, because we can take the model of the eagle and do the same. Why can't we? We can imitate the eagles intelligence, push-through, and perseverance to weather any storm -- the storms of life that will come.
