Live with Intention and Purpose

There's freedom in living with intention and purpose. And when we know our intention and purpose in life, we are strong, because we can do all things through Christ who gives us the strength to do them (Philippians 4:13).

"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). Do you know your purpose? If you do, you are most assuredly living with intention, you're living with passion, and you enjoy waking up in the morning to go tackle the things you love. It's not a chore or a weighty task to embark on the sometimes rough and challenging journey you're on. You know what you live for and it doesn't seem like work at all. It's like Lebron James and basketball. He loves what he does and he even makes it look easy.

Living with intention -- living with purpose -- what a great place to be. That's how I feel about my blog. I didn't always feel that way though. In the beginning it was something I did from time to time when I felt like it. I wanted to help people, but I wasn't as passionate about being consistent about it as I am now.  Today it's totally different. I feel it -- I sense it. I live it. I love it. The spirit of this blog is resonating with people even myself and I am loving every part of it. I love that Sha Sha, my avatar, has been input into the mix. Who doesn't love Sha Sha? She's amazing. She was raised with lots of love, but didn't have much means. Now she's as fierce as they come and she dines with the best of 'em. Oh yes, keep your eye on Sha Sha.

Anyway, if you're living with intention, you're in a great place and I don't have to tell you to keep going. But if you're not, something has to give and you more than likely, know what that is. God wants the best for us and as Romans 8:28 states, when we are living in our purpose, God brings everything together. It's just a matter of time. Stay strong in the Lord.

Hear what Sha Sha has to say about living with intention and purpose. Sha Sha is my avatar, so her face is based on my face and the voice you hear is actually me speaking through her.

God blesses whomever he wants to bless, whenever he wants to bless them

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. When I was going through a dark time -- when I had nothing -- there was a certain person who helped me sometimes. She helped me whenever she basically felt like it, but she did help, and for that I'm appreciative. But, something interesting happened after I started growing out of my despair. Something interesting started happening when I no longer needed her for anything. And something interesting happened even though I remained kind and grateful towards. The interesting thing that happened was that she started hating on me. She started treating me differently. At first I was really bothered by it, because I thought she and her husband were nice people I wanted in my life. I liked that they had a sense of compassion and were interested in helping people who were down and low. That really appealed to me, because I was raised that way; my mother was raised that way; her mother was raised that way, and it goes back to as fa

Protecting My Peace - Day 98 - Momentum and Movement, That’s What's Up

Click to listen to current podcast episode. “Never Giving Up” are power-words — strong affirmations that give us momentum and movement. That’s what’s up. We can do so much more in our lives when we have momentum and movement. It’s about standing, literally and not sitting or laying around feeling sorry for ourselves. I used to do that once upon a time and that sorrowful thinking is for the birds. We don’t have to be down. We can get up and get going even if we start small. In fact, I love starting small, because it helps set a firm foundation of habits and routines. Momentum and movement will help us get and maintain a position of strength to do what God says we can do. Eagles fly above the storm

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with Blog Post. Are you an eagle? Do you know, eagles fly above the storm and they wait for the winds to carry them to greater heights?  That's right, as the storm is raging below, they are soaring above it all. They don't escape the storm, mind you. They simply use the storm to lift themselves to higher magnitudes. It's a though they know the storm is temporary; that they will indeed rise above it; and that they are riding the storm. I find all of that fascinating, because we can take the model of the eagle and do the same. Why can't we? We can imitate the eagles intelligence, push-through, and perseverance to weather any storm -- the storms of life that will come. If we will just know that God will never give us more than we can handle, then we will come out victorious.  As you going through anything today? Are you worried about anything in particular? Just know, you can rise above it all. Nothing is too big for G
