Keep Seeking, Keep Serving

Keep seeking and serving the Lord whether people get you or not -- whether people understand you or they don't. Even if you have to yell, "I will bless the Lord at all times and his praise shall continually be in my mouth!" (Psalm 34:1), do it over and over again. And whatever you do, don't move from your post and position of God. Let Him shut the mouths of the lions, while we play our positions.

I know for a fact that there are some people who think I'm straight up weird simply because I don't do the things they do. They think I should have certain people in my life and they don't understand why I don't. They think I should be involved in this and that and they don't understand why I don't indulge. I won't ever indulge. It doesn't matter how long they wallow in their confusion about me.  Let them wallow.

What I'm starting to realize more and more, is that some people just don't understand who I am. They don't get that my reliance is on God moving and shifting things on my behalf, not Sharon trying to move and shift them. My life is so much better that way. So, if people want to think a certain way about the servants of the Lord, let them. You have to be willing to stand for God. Those who choose to put Him first are the ones who He gets -- who He understands. And when that's the case, man's opinion doesn't matter one iota.

This is just a reminder to keep seeking God no matter what comes your way and don't worry about man's view of you (Matthew 6:25-33). Keep serving Him whether people get you or not. God will ensure they will one day understand. In the meantime, keep being you and stand strong.

God blesses whomever he wants to bless, whenever he wants to bless them

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. When I was going through a dark time -- when I had nothing -- there was a certain person who helped me sometimes. She helped me whenever she basically felt like it, but she did help, and for that I'm appreciative. But, something interesting happened after I started growing out of my despair. Something interesting started happening when I no longer needed her for anything. And something interesting happened even though I remained kind and grateful towards. The interesting thing that happened was that she started hating on me. She started treating me differently. At first I was really bothered by it, because I thought she and her husband were nice people I wanted in my life. I liked that they had a sense of compassion and were interested in helping people who were down and low. That really appealed to me, because I was raised that way; my mother was raised that way; her mother was raised that way, and it goes back to as fa

Protecting My Peace - Day 98 - Momentum and Movement, That’s What's Up

Click to listen to current podcast episode. “Never Giving Up” are power-words — strong affirmations that give us momentum and movement. That’s what’s up. We can do so much more in our lives when we have momentum and movement. It’s about standing, literally and not sitting or laying around feeling sorry for ourselves. I used to do that once upon a time and that sorrowful thinking is for the birds. We don’t have to be down. We can get up and get going even if we start small. In fact, I love starting small, because it helps set a firm foundation of habits and routines. Momentum and movement will help us get and maintain a position of strength to do what God says we can do. Speak things as if they were

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. Do you know you have the power to speak things into existence? Do you know you have the power to change your atmosphere? Oh yes, so speak life to your life and know that the Lord's Word never comes back void. It is always alive and active. It's never too late to start speaking over your life. In   Mark 11 :24 Jesus says, "therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours"  and   Proverbs 23 :7 says, "for as a man thinks in his heart, so is he."  Those verses are proof that when something lives in our heart, all we have to do is open our mouths and speak those things as if we already had them. It's amazing how much power we really have, but we throw it away, because of our lack of faith. I've done that for years and let me tell you, it's not happening anymore. I'm not giving no thing, no one, and no place another inch of m
