Don't stop, keep going

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post.
There are so many remarkable people in the bible who went through the fire, but because of their faith, they come out unscathed. They didn't give in or they didn't give up when their back was against the wall. They continued on despite any obstacle around them. Do you know, when challenges come, if we will just continue to hang in there and keep trudging along, something great is bound to happen? It may not be right away, but eventually it will happen. Hebrews 11 tells about many of those people.

Sometimes I listen to a podcast or follow someone on social media and I love love love what they're doing. I look forward to listening to them or seeing what they're doing, because I get so much out of what the're doing or what they're saying. They're either full of wisdom, really funny, or they just have that something unique that makes them interesting and engaging to look at or listen to. They add highlights to my life. Then one day I go to find them and they are no longer producing their podcast or their social media. It's like they fell off the face of the earth and I get so disappointed. I say, 'gosh what a shame, they had something great going on; they were on to something, and they just stopped.' But I often wonder if they stopped, because they got tired, because they didn't see anything happening for so long and they just gave up.

I think all of us in this space know what it feels like to want to stop, because the grind does get hard. There's no doubt about that, yet I wouldn't do it -- I'm not giving up, because what else would I do? I can't imagine doing anything different than what I'm doing now. I'm not stopping. I'm going to keep going no matter what. You keep going too, because there's someone out there who loves your content and loves what you're putting out there. Listen, we get alot from you so please stay with it, because you are a bright spot in someone's day. I'm telling you. And just in case you hardly hear it, I'm letting you know right now that we want you to keep going.

God blesses whomever he wants to bless, whenever he wants to bless them

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. When I was going through a dark time -- when I had nothing -- there was a certain person who helped me sometimes. She helped me whenever she basically felt like it, but she did help, and for that I'm appreciative. But, something interesting happened after I started growing out of my despair. Something interesting started happening when I no longer needed her for anything. And something interesting happened even though I remained kind and grateful towards. The interesting thing that happened was that she started hating on me. She started treating me differently. At first I was really bothered by it, because I thought she and her husband were nice people I wanted in my life. I liked that they had a sense of compassion and were interested in helping people who were down and low. That really appealed to me, because I was raised that way; my mother was raised that way; her mother was raised that way, and it goes back to as fa

Protecting My Peace - Day 98 - Momentum and Movement, That’s What's Up

Click to listen to current podcast episode. “Never Giving Up” are power-words — strong affirmations that give us momentum and movement. That’s what’s up. We can do so much more in our lives when we have momentum and movement. It’s about standing, literally and not sitting or laying around feeling sorry for ourselves. I used to do that once upon a time and that sorrowful thinking is for the birds. We don’t have to be down. We can get up and get going even if we start small. In fact, I love starting small, because it helps set a firm foundation of habits and routines. Momentum and movement will help us get and maintain a position of strength to do what God says we can do. I feel free

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. How are you feeling today? What kind of head space have you been in lately? I ask, because I'm just wondering if anybody feels like me -- free like me. Free as an eagle. Free as can be. That's right, out with doing business the old stale way and in with a fresh new operation. It's a shifting happening in the atmosphere of Sharon's life and I'm moving on to the big and awesome things God has for me. What  do you say for yourself? What are you speaking over your life? What it is for you?  For me, I am no longer afraid to go out in the deep end. I am no longer afraid to fly higher, I am no longer concerned about what I have or do not have, and I am no longer concerned about what anybody thinks or says. Who the heck cares anymore? I don't. Because God tells me he doesn't give me a spirit of fear or timidity ( 2 Timothy 1 :7) , but He gives me a spirit of love, confidence, power, self-control, and
