God is watching over his saints

“For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints" (Proverbs 2:6-8).

Isn't it great when we can tap into the things of God? When we can tap into the amazing things He has for us? I don’t know about you, but that excites me. It gives me what I need to push through and to stay in the race. Remember what Paul said in Ecclesiastes 9:11 right? The race isn’t for the swift. It's for those who stay the course, so don't give up. I know that's sometimes easier said than done -- I know that more than you think, because sometimes I find myself there, especially lately. Yet, I will not give up. I'm going to blog, podcast, write, speak, and do whatever else the Lord tells me to do. Do I get tired sometimes? Yes, of course, but that won't stop me, because I know the gifts God has blessed me with, are a blessing for others. And guess what? That's the case with you too. You have God-given gifts to help others, so don't get so tired, you can't use them. We must push through and God will take care of us in the process -- He is watching over His saints.

God blesses whomever he wants to bless, whenever he wants to bless them

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. When I was going through a dark time -- when I had nothing -- there was a certain person who helped me sometimes. She helped me whenever she basically felt like it, but she did help, and for that I'm appreciative. But, something interesting happened after I started growing out of my despair. Something interesting started happening when I no longer needed her for anything. And something interesting happened even though I remained kind and grateful towards. The interesting thing that happened was that she started hating on me. She started treating me differently. At first I was really bothered by it, because I thought she and her husband were nice people I wanted in my life. I liked that they had a sense of compassion and were interested in helping people who were down and low. That really appealed to me, because I was raised that way; my mother was raised that way; her mother was raised that way, and it goes back to as fa

Protecting My Peace - Day 98 - Momentum and Movement, That’s What's Up

Click to listen to current podcast episode. “Never Giving Up” are power-words — strong affirmations that give us momentum and movement. That’s what’s up. We can do so much more in our lives when we have momentum and movement. It’s about standing, literally and not sitting or laying around feeling sorry for ourselves. I used to do that once upon a time and that sorrowful thinking is for the birds. We don’t have to be down. We can get up and get going even if we start small. In fact, I love starting small, because it helps set a firm foundation of habits and routines. Momentum and movement will help us get and maintain a position of strength to do what God says we can do. Speak things as if they were

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. Do you know you have the power to speak things into existence? Do you know you have the power to change your atmosphere? Oh yes, so speak life to your life and know that the Lord's Word never comes back void. It is always alive and active. It's never too late to start speaking over your life. In   Mark 11 :24 Jesus says, "therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours"  and   Proverbs 23 :7 says, "for as a man thinks in his heart, so is he."  Those verses are proof that when something lives in our heart, all we have to do is open our mouths and speak those things as if we already had them. It's amazing how much power we really have, but we throw it away, because of our lack of faith. I've done that for years and let me tell you, it's not happening anymore. I'm not giving no thing, no one, and no place another inch of m
