You will get there

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post.

Do you know that when God says you're blessed, you're blessed? Do you know that when God's promises are yes and amen, there are some great things in store for you? Do you know you're going to go where it is He said you would go? Yes, you will get there, so don't grow all weary and throw in the towel. Have faith and believe God at His Word, ok? For, His Word never comes back void or empty.

Sometimes it's easy to get frustrated that certain things aren't happening fast enough, but we can't get discouraged. God is aware that we want certain things manifested in our lives. Yet timing is crucial. I know that more today than ever. There were some things I tried to rush and they fell through, because I didn't want to exercise patience. But God doesn't rush anything simply because we want things yesterday. We can't become so desperate for things that we start going out of the will of God. I tried that and it doesn't work, let me tell you. We want to go forward not backwards, so things must move in God's order. He moves in His time and His timetable, which is nothing like ours.

So stay encouraged and don't give up what you want. If it glorifies God, John 3:30 says we will decrease as He increases. That's how it will work. Therefore I believe great things will most assuredly happen for you. Yes, you will get what He has for you -- you will get there, so keep moving.

I feel free

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. How are you feeling today? What kind of head space have you been in lately? I ask, because I'm just wondering if anybody feels like me -- free like me. Free as an eagle. Free as can be. That's right, out with doing business the old stale way and in with a fresh new operation. It's a shifting happening in the atmosphere of Sharon's life and I'm moving on to the big and awesome things God has for me. What  do you say for yourself? What are you speaking over your life? What it is for you?  For me, I am no longer afraid to go out in the deep end. I am no longer afraid to fly higher, I am no longer concerned about what I have or do not have, and I am no longer concerned about what anybody thinks or says. Who the heck cares anymore? I don't. Because God tells me he doesn't give me a spirit of fear or timidity ( 2 Timothy 1 :7) , but He gives me a spirit of love, confidence, power, self-control, and

Protecting My Peace - Day 98 - Momentum and Movement, That’s What's Up

Click to listen to current podcast episode. “Never Giving Up” are power-words — strong affirmations that give us momentum and movement. That’s what’s up. We can do so much more in our lives when we have momentum and movement. It’s about standing, literally and not sitting or laying around feeling sorry for ourselves. I used to do that once upon a time and that sorrowful thinking is for the birds. We don’t have to be down. We can get up and get going even if we start small. In fact, I love starting small, because it helps set a firm foundation of habits and routines. Momentum and movement will help us get and maintain a position of strength to do what God says we can do. God blesses whomever he wants to bless, whenever he wants to bless them

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. When I was going through a dark time -- when I had nothing -- there was a certain person who helped me sometimes. She helped me whenever she basically felt like it, but she did help, and for that I'm appreciative. But, something interesting happened after I started growing out of my despair. Something interesting started happening when I no longer needed her for anything. And something interesting happened even though I remained kind and grateful towards. The interesting thing that happened was that she started hating on me. She started treating me differently. At first I was really bothered by it, because I thought she and her husband were nice people I wanted in my life. I liked that they had a sense of compassion and were interested in helping people who were down and low. That really appealed to me, because I was raised that way; my mother was raised that way; her mother was raised that way, and it goes back to as fa
