Strive: to devote serious effort or energy,  endeavor, to struggle in opposition, contend (merriam-webster.com).

Does any part of that definition fit you? Are you striving? If the Lord has you here, that means striving means you must go on. All of us. Because a godly life offers so much.

God wants us to go out of our way to connect with Him. I don't mean pray only when things get tough. I'm talking about praying without ceasing, which means on-going communication with God. Yes we can all make the time to strive to open ourselves up to the Lord. It's something each one of us can dedicate our lives to. Jesus said, “you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind" (Matthew 22:37). We can all strive to do that no matter what is going on in our lives, right? Right.

She helped me whenever she basically felt like it, but she did help, and for that I'm appreciative. But, something interesting happened after I started growing out of my despair. Something interesting started happening when I no longer needed her for anything. And something interesting happened even though I remained kind and grateful towards. The interesting thing that happened was that she started hating on me. She started treating me differently.
