The Word is Power

Do you know that when you have the Word of God in you, you have power? That's right, if you know any scripture, it is sharper and more powerful than any two edged sword. Yes, Hebrews 4:12 says that "For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." It doesn't matter how much time goes by, the Word of the Lord remains the same. It's the most powerful word in all the universe and it will stand throughout time. Uh huh and guess what else? Isaiah 40:7/8 says, "The grass withers, the flower fades when the breath of the Lord blows on it; surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever."

What all that means to me is that although we will fall short and although we are far from perfect, the bible is our strength. There's a reason it's been around for as long as anyone can remember. The Word is power.

Speak things as if they were

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. Do you know you have the power to speak things into existence? Do you know you have the power to change your atmosphere? Oh yes, so speak life to your life and know that the Lord's Word never comes back void. It is always alive and active. It's never too late to start speaking over your life. In   Mark 11 :24 Jesus says, "therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours"  and   Proverbs 23 :7 says, "for as a man thinks in his heart, so is he."  Those verses are proof that when something lives in our heart, all we have to do is open our mouths and speak those things as if we already had them.
