Watch your words

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post.
Do you know that what we say can and will be used for or against us? Yes, Proverbs 18:21 says, "the tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit." What are you speaking over your life? What are you speaking over the life of your children, your spouse, your career, finances, health, or anything else? Whatever words we are choosing, because as we know, what we say is a choice, those words dictate if we are speaking to the Lord and giving those words life or if we are speaking to the devil -- the enemy, to give those words death. What are you choosing? Are you speaking like a winner in Christ or not? Because let me tell you, Christ is full of love (1 John 4) and He is full of positivity and light. Yes. And when we speak good and positive things into the atmosphere we give them leverage in Jesus name, to be fruitful and multiply. We have a choice in how our life goes. Because Proverbs 23:7 says, we are what we think we are. As a man thinks that's who he is.

So, the bottom line is, if we want to win in Christ, if we want to conquer the mountains, then no matter our circumstances, we have to speak life, victory, success, accomplishments, winning, and achievement over our lives. We have to believe what Proverbs 18:21 says, which again is, "the tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit." It's about yielding to the power of the Lord and watching our words. It's about yielding the power the Lord gives us, the choice He gives us, to watch our words and use them wisely. Then we can claim victory over our lives, in Jesus name.

God blesses whomever he wants to bless, whenever he wants to bless them

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. When I was going through a dark time -- when I had nothing -- there was a certain person who helped me sometimes. She helped me whenever she basically felt like it, but she did help, and for that I'm appreciative. But, something interesting happened after I started growing out of my despair. Something interesting started happening when I no longer needed her for anything. And something interesting happened even though I remained kind and grateful towards. The interesting thing that happened was that she started hating on me. She started treating me differently. At first I was really bothered by it, because I thought she and her husband were nice people I wanted in my life. I liked that they had a sense of compassion and were interested in helping people who were down and low. That really appealed to me, because I was raised that way; my mother was raised that way; her mother was raised that way, and it goes back to as fa

We can do so much more in our lives when we have momentum and movement. It’s about standing, literally and not sitting or laying around feeling sorry for ourselves. I used to do that once upon a time and that sorrowful thinking is for the birds. We don’t have to be down. We can get up and get going even if we start small. In fact, I love starting small, because it helps set a firm foundation of habits and routines. Momentum and movement will help us get and maintain a position of strength to do what God says we can do. Eagles fly above the storm

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with Blog Post. Are you an eagle? Do you know, eagles fly above the storm and they wait for the winds to carry them to greater heights?  That's right, as the storm is raging below, they are soaring above it all. They don't escape the storm, mind you. They simply use the storm to lift themselves to higher magnitudes. It's a though they know the storm is temporary; that they will indeed rise above it; and that they are riding the storm. I find all of that fascinating, because we can take the model of the eagle and do the same. Why can't we? We can imitate the eagles intelligence, push-through, and perseverance to weather any storm -- the storms of life that will come. If we will just know that God will never give us more than we can handle, then we will come out victorious.  As you going through anything today? Are you worried about anything in particular? Just know, you can rise above it all. Nothing is too big for G
