It's never too late

Do you have goals? Do you have something you've wanted to do for a long time, but haven't done yet? Do you think you've run out of time? Do you think you've missed your opportunity? I've come to tell you that if you're reading this blog post, it's not too late for you to do anything you've always wanted to do, because you're still breathing. And apparently you're still in your right mind, so you can still do what you want to do. Time is still on your side and God is definitely not finished with you yet! Know that. If time is going to pass anyway, why not just do your your thing and be productive? Have you ever said, 'no I can't do that, because it takes too long?' If so, those words are a no-go. They stopped me for many years and they shouldn't be given another nanosecond of air time.

And just in case you didn't know, the founders of McDonald’s and KFC were over 50 years old when they started those businesses, so it's never too late. Don't let mistakes, setbacks, and missed opportunities discourage you. There's still time to achieve your goals. Plus, God doesn't operate in our timing. He's a supernatural God who does things that defy man's time and man's logic. In John 4:24, Jesus told the Samaritan woman, "God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” So, as long as you're tapping into the spirit of the Most High, you will realize that time is truly on your side and you can still do the things He put in you. And get this: since 1 Timothy 1:17 says, God is an eternal God; that He exists forever, then why would we think the goals God placed in us would have an expiration date? As long as God is on the throne, whatever He has for you will live forever. It's never too late.

I feel free

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. How are you feeling today? What kind of head space have you been in lately? I ask, because I'm just wondering if anybody feels like me -- free like me. Free as an eagle. Free as can be. That's right, out with doing business the old stale way and in with a fresh new operation. It's a shifting happening in the atmosphere of Sharon's life and I'm moving on to the big and awesome things God has for me. What  do you say for yourself? What are you speaking over your life? What it is for you?
For me, I am no longer afraid to go out in the deep end. I am no longer afraid to fly higher, I am no longer concerned about what I have or do not have, and I am no longer concerned about what anybody thinks or says. Who the heck cares anymore? I don't. Because God tells me he doesn't give me a spirit of fear or timidity (2 Timothy 1:7), but He gives me a spirit of love, confidence, power, self-control, and joy. And I…

Encourage yourself in God

Do you know that no matter what you may be going through, you can encourage yourself in the Lord? And the Lord will give you the strength and power you need in order to get through? Yes, He will do it. He did it for David when David probably found it difficult to understand how he would endure. But, guess what? God was with him and God blessed him too. There are so many things I love about David. One of those things is that he encouraged himself in the Lord beyond the challenging circumstances he found himself in (1 Samuel 30:6).
When it seemed all was lost, David didn't give up. When everyone turned their backs on him, he stayed with his vision. When his family and community were taken, he went forth with what God told him to do. David never left the Lord in spite of his circumstances. I love that he did the opposite of what some of us would do, he stayed with God, he didn't run away from God. And he didn't try to take matters into his own hands. He ran towards the order…

Jesus gives mercy

"Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (which means “son of Timaeus”), was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up! On your feet! He’s calling you.” Throwing his cloak aside, he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus. “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.” “Go,” said Jesus, “your faith has healed you.” Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus along the road."
Isn't that another great testimony about God's mercy? That story comes from Mark 10:46-52 and it's encouraging for a number of reasons. Namely, that Jesus had mercy on a …
