Unbreakable faith

Unbreakable -- that's a great word for the people who are unstoppable, unmovable, and unshakable. They are the people who refuse to be broken, because of life's struggles, pain, challenges, hurt, setbacks, sorrow. Being unbreakable is another term for being faithful that God is not going to leave us in a state of despair, despondency, or a place of helplessness. Do you believe it? You have to believe it, because God acts on our belief and trust that He will get us to a place of joy, peace, and fulfillment. There's a story in the bible (Mark 5:25-34) about a woman who had an issue with blood. She bled for twelve years and went to many doctors who could not heal her. In fact she got worse. Twelve years. Yet she didn't let up in her faith that she would be healed. All she wanted was a little bit of Jesus -- all she wanted was to touch his garments -- enough to make her well by His power. And when she touched His clothes, immediately the blood stopped. When Jesus realized what happened he said, "go in peace, your faith has made you well" (v 34). Just that quick her suffering stopped.

What if your blessing is also in your next faith move? Whatever you're going through for whatever time you've been going through it, if you will just stay with the Lord, if you will just give Him the chance to work in His timing, He will be right on time. It's about having unbreakable faith.

God blesses whomever he wants to bless, whenever he wants to bless them

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. When I was going through a dark time -- when I had nothing -- there was a certain person who helped me sometimes. She helped me whenever she basically felt like it, but she did help, and for that I'm appreciative. But, something interesting happened after I started growing out of my despair. Something interesting started happening when I no longer needed her for anything. And something interesting happened even though I remained kind and grateful towards. The interesting thing that happened was that she started hating on me. She started treating me differently. At first I was really bothered by it, because I thought she and her husband were nice people I wanted in my life. I liked that they had a sense of compassion and were interested in helping people who were down and low. That really appealed to me, because I was raised that way; my mother was raised that way; her mother was raised that way, and it goes back to as fa

Protecting My Peace - Day 98 - Momentum and Movement, That’s What's Up

Click to listen to current podcast episode. “Never Giving Up” are power-words — strong affirmations that give us momentum and movement. That’s what’s up. We can do so much more in our lives when we have momentum and movement. It’s about standing, literally and not sitting or laying around feeling sorry for ourselves. I used to do that once upon a time and that sorrowful thinking is for the birds. We don’t have to be down. We can get up and get going even if we start small. In fact, I love starting small, because it helps set a firm foundation of habits and routines. Momentum and movement will help us get and maintain a position of strength to do what God says we can do. Speak things as if they were

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. Do you know you have the power to speak things into existence? Do you know you have the power to change your atmosphere? Oh yes, so speak life to your life and know that the Lord's Word never comes back void. It is always alive and active. It's never too late to start speaking over your life. In   Mark 11 :24 Jesus says, "therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours"  and   Proverbs 23 :7 says, "for as a man thinks in his heart, so is he."  Those verses are proof that when something lives in our heart, all we have to do is open our mouths and speak those things as if we already had them. It's amazing how much power we really have, but we throw it away, because of our lack of faith. I've done that for years and let me tell you, it's not happening anymore. I'm not giving no thing, no one, and no place another inch of m
