He paid it all

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. Jesus paid it all. That's right. He gave everything for us when Jesus died. Yes, He paid the interest for us, so we wouldn't have to. In other words He paid for our value in full and didn't charge us anything. How awesome it is to know Him. I consider it an awesome blessing. There's no doubt about that. When we need peace, deliverance, joy, healing, resurrection power, or whatever it is, we can count on Him to give us what we need when we need it. He loves us that much. Isn't that great? Who else can we say that about? Do you need anything from Him today? Do you have an issue that you want Him to get you through? When we call on Him -- literally -- call on Him, He will answer. I am a witness to that. Have you tried that? He is open 24/7.  Romans 10 :9-11 says, If we declare with our mouth, that “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in our heart that God raised him from the dead, then will be saved. For it is ...

God will do it

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. "So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt” ( Genesis 41 :41).    Where is it, you want God to take you? Do you know He will give you the desires of your heart? But...you have to be willing to put some work -- lots of work -- behind your faith, because nothing worthwhile will come easy. Oh no. We have to put some perseverance, determination, stamina, and intensity, in order to go where it is He has for us to go. And guess what? We can indeed get there. Don't think we can't. It's about staying on the word " go"  and continuing on. Don't you dare give up on doing what you were born to do. There is something inside of you that God has gifted you with and God never makes a mistake. We do, but He never does, so don't think your life is an accident, because it isn't. It was a deliberate act of God who wants you do mighty things in this world. Do y...

Are you like iron?

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post.  Proverbs 27 :17 says, "iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another." What that means is that the people who are around us are the people who make us better and we make them better. Or at least it should be that way. I Googled some iron synonyms and some of the words were: uncompromising, unrelenting, unyielding, unbending, resolute, resolved, determined, firm, steadfast, and unwavering. All of those words can convey that if a person is like iron, they are fixed, gazed, and purposeful in what they want and nothing will stop them. So I ask, are you like iron? Do you stand on the promises of the Lord? When we're honest with ourselves, we can answer those questions with a definitive yes or no.  If you answer yes to both of those questions, than you are indeed like iron. Yes you are. And more than likely, you are already doing positive and encouraging things. You are already sharpening those around you....

Soar! Committed to the process-part 3 (weekly podcast episode #26)

Weekly Podcast. Follow along with blog post. In continuing on with my book study of TD Jake's book, Soar! Build Your Vision from the Ground Up, the focus is on enjoying the peaks and valleys of the process of building your brand and your business. On page 32, Jakes says, "many people have a vision to become entrepreneurs, but are unable to commit to the demands of building a business from scratch." In other words, we want success yesterday, right? Yet, that's not how creating anything worthwhile happens. I think all of us should know that by now. Nothing amazing happens overnight. Nothing. We're not going to lose 30 pounds in one month (not in a healthy way at least), we're going to learn to become fluent in another language in six months, and we're not going to build a thriving business in three days. It won't happen. There is a process, which are formulas for success in any endeavor if and when we're willing to go through to get through. ...

It will happen when it's supposed to

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. Do you know you’re in a league by yourself? It’s true, because there’s only one you and since there’s only one you, you’re the only one who can do what you do. It doesn’t matter who is doing the same thing, the fact is, nobody is you and you’re not anybody else. Did you get that? Ok, I’ll put it this way, what is for you, is for you and you only, so don't bother comparing yourself to people who seem to be further along than you, because you'll feel like you don't measure up. And remember, no one started where they are now. And don't waste a minute comparing yourself to anyone who doesn't appear to be as far along as you, because then you may get a false sense of where you are.  The best thing to do is to just focus on what you're doing and keep doing that. It's about staying in our lane and since God is a huge God, He blesses according to His mandates (purpose), for our lives. When we do wha...

Focus and preparation

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. There is a woman in the bible named  Esther   who has a book of the bible named after her. That says alot, doesn't it? She is one of my favorite women in the bible. She came from humble beginnings and ended up winning, because she took chances and they paid off. And if Esther won, then I figure as long as the Lord is in the blessing business, we have just a good a chance, as Esther had, or anyone else for that matter, right? Let me tell you a little bit about Queen Esther: She prepared for the tasks at hand and she listened to wisdom. She focused on what was in front of her and because of that, she was prepared when opportunity came her way. She listened at times when she probably didn't feel like it. Haven't we all been there when we wanted to do things our way even though God has a better way? She was patient, did the hard work, and got herself in order before she went to meet the king -- her f...

The bible is alive and active

Do you know there's a book that will give you all you will ever need and when you carry it you will have power? Oh yes, it's true.   It's called the bible and  "this book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success" ( Joshua 1 :8).  That's what the Lord told Joshua after Moses died. God wanted Joshua (the new leader of the Israelites) to know that what Joshua was about to take on was a mighty feat and God would be with him all the days of his life. Let's focus on what He told Joshua regarding carrying God's word in him. He told Joshua that success was imminent wherever he went. As we know, the bible is the wisest book in the history of the world, so it was apparent Joshua was carrying around power and authority. And it was also apparent that Joshua would win ag...
