Write it and Believe it

It may not seem like it, but your time is approaching fast. Habakkuk 2 :2 says we should write down our goals and Habakkuk 2:3 says, even if it seems they're taking forever, they will assuredly come.  I hope you stand in agreement with those words. Why would you not if you trust the holy bible? I was listening to the testimony of two people I follow on social media. They are a married couple and their testimony is awesome. It really resonated with me, because it spoke to Habakkuk 2:2/3. Two of my favorite scriptures.  Before this couple was married, they both wrote a lot regarding their goals and visions. The wife was a pastor and the husband was a songwriter/musician. So naturally they had lots of the vision written. Eventually they found love and I believe it's partly because they wrote to God many times before that. You see, as long as you're getting something down on "paper", that's actually following Habakkuk 2:2.  I  also vividly remem...

Best Wishes

“Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul" ( 3 John 1:2).  I pray over my blog often. That means I pray everyday over you too. As 3 John 1:2 says, I pray things go well for you, for your health, and your soul (your living body, will, and emotions). I pray you will get over every hill or mountain, out of every valley you may find yourself in, every fire that seems as though it's consuming you (it's not). I pray that all goes well for you. If you're down, I'm praying right now in Jesus name that you will look up. I pray for a renewed faith right now that things will be well with you. And that change will be immediate. If you're up, I pray you will continue to stay up.  I pray for seasons of lasting abundance and for longer seasons of harvest. That would be just awesome, wouldn't it? At any rate, I want all to be well within your entire being. Look up towards heaven and talk to...

God is our Constant Support

“Comfort, comfort my people,” says your God " ( Isaiah 40 :1). Did you know, God " gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak" (Isaiah 40:29) ? Oh yes, and if he does that, that means there is no reason to be down and to stay down. Lift your head up. Yes, there are things going on that are challenging and it may seem like God is not there, it may seem like He doesn't hear us or see us. But let me tell you, God is aware of our needs, all of them and when it seems we're on the brink of shouting, " Lord help me!", He is right there. He was all along. He won't ever leave the people who love, praise, and worship Him in spirit and truth. Every last one of His promises will come true when we continue to seek Him in all our ways and as we continue to understand and respect that He is God yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Believe that.  God is there to support us and He's there for us to support others. If you've bee...

Rise and Shine

We all get knocked down in life, but we can't stay down. We have to get up. We have to continue on despite the struggles and the hard times we've gone through. I know pain, I know trauma, and I know heartache. And some days are better than others. Yet we cannot, will not, and must not give up. We have to push on and stay the course. I always know brighter days are coming, because every day is a day the Lord has made. We absolutely should be glad and rejoice in them. The reality is we don't always, because we're human. Yet the good news is that we still have a choice to do so and that choice is always available to us -- to look towards the light, Jesus. We have to draw on the energy source of life, Jesus, and He will recharge us. When we draw on Him it works every time. There's nothing He can't do to help us rise again. I'm grateful that He lives within my heart. To live without Him would be to live an empty existence. Who would that help? Not a soul. ...

Can't Run, Can't Hide

None of us can run from the gift God has given us.  How do I know? Because I used to be that person. I was a runner. I was the person who was afraid to walk in my purpose, because I was too concerned about what people said about me, how I would look, and whether or not I would recover if I stumbled. Now, forget about all of that. I'm here to tell you that if God called you to it, He will ensure you are going to get through it. I know that more than ever today. Although people may say this or that, we can't be at all bothered by that. Although we may not look our best and people may laugh, we can't be at all bothered by that. And although we may stumble, the Lord God will catch us. We must continue to speak life over our life. If we don't, the cares of the world will overcome us. Remain strong, secure, and rooted in God. He will continually direct our paths to greatness.  And He will cover us as we continue to trust in His ways.  Proverbs 3 :1/2 says,  "...

40 years

If we're familiar with the story of the Israelites, we know they wandered in the wildernesses, the desert, for 40 years, because of their disobedience and negative attitude towards God ( Numbers  32:13).   How many of us have been like the Israelites? I know I have. I lost out on opportunities and blessings, because I wanted to do things my way instead of God's ways. And like the Israelites I found myself going round and round. That's not a good way to live. Today things are different. When God says move I move, just like that. My ear is tuned to Him and I don't want to miss out anymore. I don't want to go from season to season not bearing fruit. I should see fruit whenever it's harvest time. Not weak crops.  Anyway, all I'm saying is that if you're going through the same thing the Israelites and I went through, let this post be a reminder that God is waiting. Because let's face it, 40 years is a long time.

Where is the Blessing?

You ever just sat and watched the ocean? The birds? An ant? A butterfly?  There's beauty in all of God's creations, isn't there? All we have to do is take the time to experience them. I have to admit I can do better in this area, because certain things in my life can be stressful and challenging. Sometimes I feel like those lyrics in that Lenny Kravitz song, I want to get away, I want to fly awaaaaay, yeah yeah yeah. Sometimes we all need to get away and recharge. There's nothing wrong with that. It's human. It's normal. In fact, when you have a lot going on, it's a must.  Sometimes it's the little things that mean the most and we have to take the time to enjoy them. Sometimes the blessing is in the small things. I have made a pledge with myself that this year I'm going to take time for just me, myself, and I. I'm going to fly away to a place where I can experience God on a whole new level. A place where it's just my peace with the ...
