God will help you win battles

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post.

Do you need help getting over anything today? If so, God will help you win your battles. That's what he did for David in 1 Samuel 30:8 when David consulted God regarding an impending battle he needed direction in. One such time was when David wanted to know if he should pursue the enemies who set fire to his camp and kidnapped he and his army's wives and children. David asked the Lord if he should pursue them and if he would overtake them. God told him to pursue and that he would indeed overtake them and succeed in rescuing all their families. David followed the Lord's orders and of course he won. He called upon the Lord for direction, particularly when he was needed direction about going into battle and he came out victorious. He got everything back plus some. That's what happens when we seek God, He will ensure we win.

Don't we all need help for certain battles and challenges in our lives? Well, when we consult God, He will direct our paths and He will ensure we get the victory. That's what the Lord did for David and if He did it for him, He will do it for us too. 2 Samuel 8:6 says, "the Lord gave victory to David wherever he went" and 2 Samuel 8:14 says, 'the Lord helped David win his battles everywhere he went.' David was a blessed man who was winning. There wasn't a battle David lost. He was victorious wherever he went, because he knew God, he knew his strength came from God, he was in constant contact with God, and he had a great relationship with God. We can all have the same thing. Don't think we can't.

Protecting My Peace - Day 98 - Momentum and Movement, That’s What's Up

Click to listen to current podcast episode. “Never Giving Up” are power-words — strong affirmations that give us momentum and movement. That’s what’s up. We can do so much more in our lives when we have momentum and movement. It’s about standing, literally and not sitting or laying around feeling sorry for ourselves. I used to do that once upon a time and that sorrowful thinking is for the birds. We don’t have to be down. We can get up and get going even if we start small. In fact, I love starting small, because it helps set a firm foundation of habits and routines. Momentum and movement will help us get and maintain a position of strength to do what God says we can do. Protecting My Peace - Day 96 - Disciplining Ourselves for Next Level Greatness

Click to listen to today's podcast episode. When it comes to next level greatness, we have to know that applies to us, not just everyone else. Do you know what God has for you? Do you? He has GREATNESS for you. Yes, YOU -- all of us. It's about doing what you can do and only you can do. You are the only one with your DNA -- none of us. is the same Yet, even when we're feeling down, discouraged, and out, those emotions are only temporary. None of us has it all together. Sometimes I procrastinate and put things off when I know I should be doing better. Yet, I am not as diligent and disciplined as I can be sometimes. Like when it comes to working out, I delay it, because I don't like it anymore. And although I love reading the bible, I haven't been reading it as often as I should lately. Yes, I, Sharon, the Faith Coach, do not do the things I'm supposed to do when I'm supposed to do them. And that my dear friends should not come as a shock to no one. It certa...

Protecting My Peace - Day 95 - We Have to Stop Giving Away Our Power

Click to listen to today's podcast episode. Are you giving away your power? Are you letting people take control over our lives? If so, it’s time to stop operating like that. If we’re letting anyone influence us to the point that it’s causing us emotional pain or taking our peace, we have to move away from such people. It doesn’t matter if it’s in a personal or professional environment. Stay positive and productive in the process though, because dealing with challenges are part of the life process. Nevertheless, we can “fight” for our right for peace and respect. We just fight smart and continue to know who we are, especially who we are in Christ Jesus.
