Things will line up for you

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. Do you need God to act on your behalf today? Do you need God to intervene in anything in your life? Do you need Him to straighten out anything? Guess what? I've come to let you know that God will do it. Yes, He will set any record straight that needs to be set straight and He will do it on your behalf. Yes, He will intervene for you. He will correct anything that needs to be corrected. All we have to do is stay on our grind, focus on what we're doing, and continue praising, worshiping, honoring, and serving Him. We don't have to take matters into our own hands about anything that we want to happen. In fact, to do that, many times, sets us back. I have tried that at certain times in my life only to mess things up and to delay what God had for my life. Now, if we want God to move we have to reach out to Him and He will be with us as we establish an on-going relationship with Him. We have to at least start. He wil...

God knew what he was doing from the very beginning

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. Do you know, God knew what he was doing from the very beginning?   Romans 8 :29:39 says: "God knew what he was doing from the very beginning. He decided from the outset to shape the lives of those who love him along the same lines as the life of his Son. The Son stands first in the line of humanity he restored. We see the original and intended shape of our lives there in him. After God made that decision of what his children should be like, he followed it up by calling people by name. After he called them by name, he set them on a solid basis with himself. And then, after getting them established, he stayed with them to the end, gloriously completing what he had begun. So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t...

God has forgiven you and the slate has been wiped clean

Do you know there's no condemnation (wrong) for those of us who live with Christ Jesus in our heart? That doesn't mean we can live like the devil, it just means we have been set free from the bondage of living according to our flesh and we are therefore, living according to the spirit that dwells within us. It means we are now new creations through the God who lives in us. Oh yes,  Romans 8 :1-4 says, "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit." That also means that the slate has b...

Encourage yourself in God

Do you know that no matter what you may be going through, you can encourage yourself in the Lord? And the Lord will give you the strength and power you need in order to get through? Yes, He will do it. He did it for David when David probably found it difficult to understand how he would endure. But, guess what? God was with him and God blessed him too. There are so many things I love about David. One of those things is that he encouraged himself in the Lord beyond the challenging circumstances he found himself in ( 1 Samuel 30 :6). When it seemed all was lost, David didn't give up. When everyone turned their backs on him, he stayed with his vision. When his family and community were taken, he went forth with what God told him to do. David never left the Lord in spite of his circumstances. I love that he did the opposite of what some of us would do, he stayed with God, he didn't run away from God. And he didn't try to take matters into his own hands. He ran towards th...

There's nothing any man can do to stop what God has for you

When God says ok, there's nothing any man can do to stop what He has for you. When God says yes, there's nothing that can be done to stop it. When God says go for it, we can walk with the audacity and confidence He gives us to go forth and multiply. So don't let anything, any place, or anybody convince you otherwise. Just go ahead. God has checked off on you doing what lives in your heart.  Remember, God doesn't call the "qualified" or the those with the big arrogant heads. He calls the people who humble themselves before Him and bow down to His greatness as they reverence Him and as they give Him every ounce of the glory, honor, and praise. Oh yes, He will definitely work with such people. Or perhaps we can say, 'He chooses the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; He chooses the weak things of the world to shame the strong; He chooses the lowly things of this world, the despised things, and the things that are not, to nullify the things t...

Keep serving God with a grateful heart

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. I give thanks to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart, and I will glorify your name forever" ( Psalm 86 :12). I’ve come to remind you to be encouraged in what you’re doing. You have been serving God and it hasn't been in vain. You are thankful, grateful, and you’re serving with a loving heart. That’s great. God honors those who honor Him. And although serving and honoring God doesn't mean everything will go perfectly, because we will still have our challenges. Yet, those challenges make us stronger within ourselves and most importantly, stronger in God who will be with us the entire time.  So keep serving, stay grateful, and remain positive. Stay around people who are serving Christ too, because that’s extremely important for your soul — for your life. Remember, iron sharpens iron, right ( Proverbs 27:17 )? Things may not always be easy, but what you’re doing is going to pay off for you, because you’r...

Giants fall

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.”  As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him. Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground ( 1 Samuel 17 :45-49). Wowwwwww, what a stor...
