The Lord is near

"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit” ( Psalm 34 :18). That's another way of saying the Lord will revive our heart when needed. He is in the heart mending business just in case we need a heart change or a heart transplant. He's a miraculous God who will rejuvenate us in a heartbeat. Do you need Him for anything? Do you need help with a downcast heart? If you are in need of anything today, I've come to tell you that God is near. And I've come to encourage you to stay in the race, to keep looking up, to continue to be optimistic, and continue to be faithful about your life. Some of us have been through more than the next person and some of us haven't. Yet we may all still hurt, because pain is pain, and pain is painful. Some of us hurt deeper and longer, because the wounds went in pretty deep. Yet, the Lord is near to us. The Lord saves us. He will revive your spirit and bring you back to life. Wake up mighty men. Wake u...

How majestic is your name

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. You know, it's a blessing to be in the kingdom of God. It's a blessing, because there is no one greater that the Lord God. He is the most majestic. I hope you know that for yourself. If you do, then keep believing and never doubt. If you do not know it for yourself, then you are not here by accident. You are reading and listening to the words that the Lord wants you to hear, because He loves you and He wants to you basque in His wondrous light. He has much for those who love and worship Him. David also knew the love of God when he wrote Psalm 8 , which says the following:  "O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger. When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, whi...

Freedom

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom " ( 2 Corinthians 3 :17). "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed ( John 8 :36). "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery" ( Galatians 5 :1). You get the point, right? You are free. Free indeed. So, you can now go forth and multiply. Whatever multiply means to you, that is. So I have some questions for you. What are you called to do? What lives in your heart? What brings you peace and joy? What would you do if money were no object? Well, guess what? That is the thing that God has placed in your heart. If it is filled with a love towards people, then that's what you were birth to do and the Lord says you are free to do so. Therefore, there is no need to fear or to be anxious about anything.  Philippians 4 :6/...

Compassionate God

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. Do you know it doesn't matter what you've done or didn't do, God will forgive you when you simply ask Him? Yes, it's true. He's a compassionate and caring God who is real. His spirit still dwells over this magnificent earth He created. Don't underestimate the power of the Lord, because if we do that, we are limiting what He will do in our lives. Just know that He sees you and your past and present don't stop no show, period, end of story, ok? Do you understand what I'm saying today? That God will use those who chose to be used. Yes, He has a great future for you if you want Him to be a part of your life. What I'm asking is, do you want to be used? Do you want to be a blessing to yourself and to those around you? Do you want to go to great heights in the Lord? If your answers are yes, then get ready. God is going to take you to places you only dreamed about. Won't He do it? Yes ma...

Confident of this very thing

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus” ( Philippians 1 :6). That's what Paul was saying to the church and to the people of Philippi and as far as I'm concerned, he's still talking to us today. It is written that we, the righteous, shall live by faith, right? That's  Habakkuk 2 :4.  Then, the work the Lord began in us -- by His grace -- should give us the confidence to continuously live for Him. And when we do that, then everything will line up for us. Am I saying everything will be perfect and flawless? No, I'm saying that God will ensure His will, will be done on earth as it is in heaven for us. Isn't that awesome? Yes, He will do what He said what He said He would in your life and in my life. You have to be confident of that very thing -- that He began a good work in you and He's going to finish it.  Pau...

Strong in Christ

Daily Devotional Podcast. Follow along with blog post. "For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong" ( 2 Corinthians 12 :10). Whoa, another heavy-duty verse, right. It's a verse that reminds us that when we are strong in the Lord, even if we are lacking in the natural, we can withstand the things that come for us. That's right. We can stand strong in the face of adversity, because we know that God is God. So, no matter what is coming at you, you can make it through. You can level up. Yes, you will get to the next level the Lord has for you. Are you willing to weather the storm? Are you willing to continue on despite setbacks? Are you willing to keep trudging until mission accomplished? Well then, you are virtually there -- at least in the spirit you are. Nobody may be able to see where you are now or even where you're going, but you are moving. That...

Storms don’t last forever

Do you know storms are temporary and the sun will come out tomorrow?   If you’re going through anything right now, just know you’re not alone. And know that God is with you and sees what you’re going through. He will give you strength to make it and He will give you peace too.  Psalm 29:11   says,  "the Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace." That means even in the midst of a storm, there is no need to panic, the Lord gives you peace. He knows it’s a temporary situation that will make you stronger. He wants you to be stronger. And since the Lord is with you,  you will be able to function much better and have the victory. The Lord will see to that. So continue your way with the Lord and watch Him continue to direct your paths and make them straight. Storms don’t last forever. Stay calm. God says you’re going to make it through. (Psalm 29:11)
